Covid-19 India Updates As On 09th July, 2020

India's coronavirus cases continue to mount as Wednesday saw a single-day spike of 24,897 infections and 487 fresh deaths. The overall death toll climbed to 21,129. However, the recovery rate further improved to over 61.5 per cent. In Maharashtra, after two days of relief, cases again increased by over 6,000. The new COVID cases in the state increased by 6,603. In Mumbai, the death crossed the 5,000-mark with 62 new fatalities. While the death toll reached 5,061, the tally of cases rose to 87,513 with 1,381 new patients. Here are some major updates:
